The particularly intense color makes this piece a rare classic from Germany.
Highly lustrous amethyst specimen from Idar-Oberstein from one of Karl Rickauer's own finds from the early 1980s. Since the quarry is closed since the 1980s and there is a nature reserve at this place in the meantime, the finding possibilities are nearly impossible.
Also in international comparison such a clarity and intense color is hard to find.
