Dioptase on Calcite –  Tsumeb, Otavi Berge, Namibia 
 
Highly representative matrix specimen of emerald green long-prismatic dioptase. The dioptase of up to 38 mm length have a wonderful luster and an intensely dark color. The dominant crystal has healed, brocken in the process of formation and then grown back together. Both aesthetically and mineralogically interesting, unique specimen from the extinct Tsumeb mine.
