Prase Quartz - Serifos, Greece
 
 Aesthetic prase crystal in artichoke-like formation from the world-famous deposit on Serifos. The piece has the characteristic leek green color, which gave this quartz variation its name (derived from the Greek, prason = leek). Towards the tip, the crystal becomes wonderfully transparent. For several years there has been a strict ban on collecting minerals on Serifos. A nice European classic.
